WHAT WE DO

 

My name is Barney and BUSTOMS is my brainchild.

 

I’ve always loved cars, and early on I could only afford old and cheap ones. Naturally they needed a lot of TLC, but I quickly found myself not just fixing but upgrading + modifying them to make them faster + more functional.

From working on my own cars, I developed skills in mechanical, electrical, and fabrication. This means I am confident to work on almost any car or 4WD in order to improve and upgrade it. I am passionate about special and loved cars.

I have a strong focus on performance and take immense pride in my work to create one off, hand-made, go-fast parts that are customised to your requirements both in function and in form.

I use the GTAW (TIG) welding process using titanium, mild, stainless and aluminium materials. With the right tools, I achieve the top end of strength + aesthetics, resulting in unique and high quality parts.

You can’t buy these parts off the shelf - my fabrication skills are what enable me to go above and beyond the benchmark for custom vehicles.

The BUSTOMER experience is completely bespoke.

 

As I gained experience working on your cars, I found the need for tools + parts that simply aren’t available. This prompted me to work with my friend Ben to design tooling + parts using rapid prototyping, laser cutting and other specialist techniques.

Ben is an engineer by trade and is proficient in CAD software, making him an ideal addition to the BUSTOMS team.

Together we've developed a growing range of flanges that I use in the shop to create my parts. We've also developed a small range of tooling + jigs to facilitate marking + measuring, enabling accuracy, repeatability, and efficiency.

Once we started this venture, we knew that there had to be others in the same boat who could use these products. So here we are offering them to you!
